A group of use are establishing a charity to raise money to build a Children's Home in Swaziland for little ones to grow and be cared for.
Who we are:
- Precious - lives in Emkhontweni District in Swaziland and liaises with the Chief. She has established the local community steering committee who will guide the project on the ground.
- Kathy chairs the project in UK - Lives in Milton Keynes - used to work in Swaziland and other African countries, and has seen the circumstances the children and their aging grannies have to cope with. She has two sons and knows she would never have wanted her children to have to struggle as these little ones do.
- Angie - Lives in Milton Keynes and has never lived in an African country but feels the same way, is a qualified Accountant and is our Treasurer.
- Max - teaches modern music in Bath, was born in Botswana and understands how the lack of a few pounds can hold people back for ever. He is looking forward to music sessions in the Home!
None of us know much about fund raising - we have just started this project and really want, need and are looking forward to help from others!
